Individual therapy & eating disorder treatment
I provide individual therapy and eating disorder treatment for adults and adolescents (16 years+). While I don’t offer family therapy, sessions with adolescents may include meetings with family to better understand what’s happening at home.
ADULTS & TEENS
In-person sessions can offer a deeper sense of connection and grounding. My office is conveniently located in Spring Hill, Brisbane – just a short walk from Central Station.
IN-PERSON
I offer online therapy for individuals across Australia. Telehealth makes it easier to access support, fit sessions into your schedule, and save on travel time.

SARAH MOORE
Clinical Psychologist
My approach is grounded in relational psychodynamic theory, which means I’m interested in how our past and present relationships shape who we are and how we feel. I often work with people who want to understand themselves more deeply and create more meaningful, fulfilling lives.
I believe effective therapy involves both safety and courage. You need a space where you can feel supported, while also being challenged to explore parts of yourself that feel difficult or unfamiliar.
I also work with people experiencing eating disorders. In my experience, challenges with eating, weight, and body image often reflect deeper emotional concerns. My work focuses on helping people stabilise their eating habits while also exploring the underlying patterns driving those behaviours.
As a therapist, I’m a warm and thoughtful listener who shares insights and observations in a relaxed and supportive environment where there is room for authenticity and humour.

MY APPROACH
Many people come to therapy because they’re struggling with uncomfortable symptoms – anxiety, low mood, poor self-esteem, disordered eating, relationship difficulties, or a general sense of unease. Over time, it often becomes clear that the difficulty isn’t just the symptoms themselves. Instead, symptoms serve as messengers of deeper, unresolved concerns. At its heart, therapy is not only about easing discomfort, but also about wanting more – more understanding, connection, and freedom in how we live.
Psychodynamic therapy is a talking-based treatment that explores how thoughts and feelings outside of our awareness can shape the way we experience ourselves and others. Often, we cope with painful emotions by pushing them out of mind. But, even when hidden, these feelings can continue to influence our mood, behaviour, and relationships.
In our work together, we aim to bring what’s unconscious into awareness – to understand what lies beneath the symptoms and the patterns that keep you stuck. By making sense of these deeper layers, new perspectives and possibilities emerge, allowing for more authentic ways of being and relating.
EATING DISORDER TREATMENT
I provide therapy for people experiencing a range of concerns related to eating, body image, and weight, as well as those with diagnosed eating disorders such as Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder, or Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder.
My approach is person-oriented rather than symptom-focused. I’m interested in understanding you as a whole person, not just your eating difficulties. I view eating disorder behaviours as meaningful attempts to manage deeper emotional struggles. Together, we will work to stabilise your eating, while also exploring the underlying issues that drive and maintain the behaviours. I believe this approach enables long-lasting change to occur.

Yes, I am currently accepting new clients.
 I offer appointments Monday 10am-1pm, Tuesday 8am-2pm, Wednesday 8am-12pm, and Thursday 7am-2pm.
I offer sessions on a twice-weekly, weekly, or fortnightly basis, and will offer you a regular ongoing appointment time. As such, I am only able to offer you a specific appointment time after I complete therapy with a current client. This means that I cannot guarantee a wait time for specific appointment times, and my ability to offer you an appointment will be reduced if your availability is limited. I do not offer monthly or ad hoc therapy appointments for new clients.

Our work together will involve an initial assessment period of 2 to 4 sessions. This is a time for me to get a better understanding of you and what you’re struggling with, and for you to assess whether I am the right person to assist you. Following this, together we will decide the best path forward.
I offer sessions on a twice-weekly, weekly, or fortnightly basis, and will offer you a regular ongoing appointment time (e.g., Monday at 10am each week). Attending frequently will help you to become aware of unconscious thoughts and feelings underlying your difficulties. Less frequent attendance means that you are likely to spend most of the session simply reporting on what happened since we last met, making deeper work less likely to occur.I require eating disorder clients to be engaged with their GP for regular medical monitoring throughout the course of therapy. If you do not have a GP who can provide this, I can make recommendations for GPs with eating disorder knowledge in Brisbane.
