ONLINE EATING DISORDER TREATMENT
I provide online eating disorder treatment via Zoom or FaceTime for adults across Australia. Online therapy can be a flexible and accessible way to receive specialised support if you live in a regional or remote area, travel frequently, or have a busy schedule that makes attending in-person appointments difficult. I work with individuals experiencing Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder and other eating difficulties, offering a supportive and collaborative space that focuses on meaningful and sustainable recovery.
I am trained in evidence-based treatments including Focal Psychodynamic Therapy for Anorexia Nervosa (FPT), Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E), and Specialist Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM). However, my approach is always grounded in relational psychodynamic theory, meaning I am interested in understanding you as a whole person, not just focusing on eating behaviours or symptoms. Online therapy allows us to explore the emotional, relational, and identity factors that may contribute to eating difficulties, while working together to develop practical and personalised strategies that support recovery in your day-to-day life.
Online eating disorder treatment works best when it is part of a well-supported multidisciplinary care team. I require clients engaging in online treatment to also be working with a regular GP who monitors medical stability and physical health. Depending on your needs, we may also collaborate with a dietitian or psychiatrist. A team-based approach helps ensure treatment is safe, comprehensive, and tailored to your individual recovery needs.
Online sessions are conducted securely via Zoom or FaceTime and are designed to feel just as supportive, collaborative, and engaging as in-person therapy. If you are considering online treatment and would like to explore whether this approach is suitable for you, you are welcome to get in touch.
